Adashev Picks Up First UFC Win, Decisions Benoit
Zarrukh Adashev picked up his first win inside the Octagon, taking a unanimous decision over Ryan Benoit.
Adashev brutalized Benoit’s leg early with kicks, dominating the majority of the first round. Adashev was dropped at the end of the first round and looked close to being finished, but he survived and even threatened with a guillotine choke as the round ended. Benoit proved his toughness, making it to the final bell, but he was outstruck for most of the fight.
Adashev at 7.9k scored 63.15 points at 14.25 percent ownership. He landed 78 significant strikes.
Benoit at 8.3k scored 30.77 points at 32.67 percent ownership. He landed 37 significant strikes and one knockdown.
