Meerschaert Shocks Muradov, Submits Him In Second
Gerald Meerschaert, the biggest underdog on the card, survived early adversity to rally back and submit Mahkmud Muradov in the second round via rear naked choke.
Meerschaert at 6.9k scored 100.85 points at only 7.67 percent ownership. Meerschaert only landed 32 significant strikes, but he scored three timely takedowns.
Muradov at 9.3k, the most expensive fighter on the slate, scored just 16.86 points at 45.36 percent ownership. Muradov landed 40 significant strikes and had Meerschaert hurt early, but couldn’t capitalize.
With his performance, Muradov killed off nearly half of the field.
