Poirier Wins Trilogy, Stops McGregor In First
Dustin Poirier scored his second stoppage victory over Conor McGregor this year when McGregor appeared to break his ankle and could not continue. Poirier took McGregor down and was in complete control of the fight before the stoppage. Poirier at 8.1k scored 115.34 points at 8.1k at 47.92 percent ownership. He landed 36 significant strikes and one knockdown before McGregor broke his ankle.
Poirier has put Conor McGregor in the rear view mirror for now and he’s on a collision course with UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira.
McGregor at 8.1k scored just 14.00 points. McGregor landed 27 significant strikes before the fight was called. McGregor is now 1-3 in his last four fights.
